Text of postcard follows:

For well over half a century, Maynard Ferguson has been entertaining audiences with his stratospheric range and diverse musical influences. For the last few years, photographer Greg Geibel, contributing photographer to One More Trip to Birdland, has been capturing moments on stage that are truly Maynard.

"It is amazing to sit and watch him play," said Geibel, "but what is challenging to me photographically is trying to capture what I call the essence. We have all seen the images of him hitting the glass-shattering notes, but there is much more to him than that. During rehearsals, I have enjoyed observing him warming up and testing the acoustics," he said.

"More so than his personality, his humor, and his musical range on stage, I am fascinated just simply by his presence," continued Geibel.

Working collaboratively with Maynard, Geibel was able to design an image suitable for framing and display that captures the essence and presence of The Boss on stage.

For Maynard, the image is a way to thank his most dedicated fans.

"I have had close fans ask over the years for a high quality image that they could hang in their office or gameroom," elaborated Maynard.

"I have looked over hundreds of images, and when I saw this one, I said, 'I think we got it!'"

Since this print is of a 500 copy, limited edition run, this offer is on a first come/first served basis. Prints will be created, numbered, and signed once payment is received. Once the 500 copies are sold out, any money received will be returned.
